Shift is Atonement’s confirmation for youth entering 7th grade through 8th grade. The name SHIFT signifies the transition occurring from the faith of my parents to my own faith. The two year period is divided into six, 7-8 week tracks where God’s story intersects with their lives. In the context of relationships we’ll explore God’s story, the Old Testament, the New Testament, Jesus and my life, serving Jesus and the Church (sacraments, creeds, confessions and history).
the Missional Life
Jesus calls his followers to a life of love and service while inviting others to join in the journey of following Him. Throughout the year we invite middle school students and their families to go and serve within our neighborhoods, city and our world. Each quarter we’ll engage in a special project that focuses on serving those in need. And each summer we’ll do an extended trip that focuses on serving the poor, oppressed and broken.
