Who We Are Metro Lutheran Ministries (MLM)
Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries (MLM) maintains four emergency and advocacy centers that help people with emergency food, funds, shelter, and counseling. Members volunteer at MLM to assist in the ongoing ministry or occasional programs such as the Christmas Store, Spring Fling, food drives, Blessings Abound thrift store, Parvin Estates, and various other projects.
FOOD GIVE-AWAYS-- On scheduled Saturdays, Atonement helps MLM with Food Give-Aways which serve 200 to 300 families with perishable food. Click for more information on ways you can help!
MLM BREAKFAST MINISTRY - On scheduled Saturdays, Atonement serves breakfast to the homeless or others in need in mid-town KC. Click for more information on ways you can help!
CONGREGATIONAL SERVICE EVENTS - Twice a year in May & October, Atonement works on minor home repair for the neediest in mid-town Kansas City. Click for more details & to view pictures!
CHRISTMAS STORE —Atonement members assist the Christmas Store on an on-going basis through advertising, purchasing of toys, and gathering of volunteers. Over 1000 families are served each year.
We also collect non-perishable food for MLM's food pantry year-round at THE DROP-OFF SPOT!
