Addiction Recovery Committee

The Addiction Recovery Committee serves to plan and implement activities that will increase awareness and understanding of addiction-related issues among the people of Atonement. It also serves as a resource to the council, committees, staff, and pastors.

Eventually there are plans on getting permission from other 12 step groups (who are working out of Atonement on different days and time slots) about what room they meet in and what time and post it on the wall in the Gathering Place (west wall). The motive in doing so is for members of Atonement who know of somebody addicted to something to be pointed in the right direction to start their recovery. Al-anon, Overeaters Anonymous and Gamblers Anonymous are a few of these groups that meet at Atonement.
