Communion Training for Homebound
Communion – Lutherans call the elements of communion the means of grace, for through the eating and drinking we receive nothing less than the absolute presence of Jesus Christ. And we become what we eat . . . little Christ’s.
Atonement has over 30 members who are ill or homebound. Do you feel called to take communion to one or two of them? We will have communion training for those interested. This will take place in the Gathering Place on Sunday, Dec 2, at noon with a light lunch served. We will be finished by 1:30 p.m.
The strength of this form for communing the ill and homebound is that it ties together the proclamation of the Word through the Words of Institution, the pastoral office, and the ministry to the ill.
