Older Adult Technology Class

Join us for Older Adult Technology Class every Tuesday in February. We will meet in the Gathering Place at 1pm. This class is a way to learn new skills and bridge the technology gap between generations.

Series Topics:
Making Your Device Work For You - Bring along the devices that you use most often. We will go over how to change settings to make things easier to read and access. We will also talk about how to navigate devices (how to navigate between programs and close them out when finished with them).
Social Media and Atonement’s New Website - Together we will navigate different social media platforms, including Facebook and Youtube. With Facebook we will talk about how to change your password, downloading pictures, and putting on a new post. In addition, we will look at our new website design and find key features on it.
Cybersecurity - It’s no secret that phishing schemes and scams target individuals in the older generations. This week will talk about ways to look for those scams and what to do if something like this happens to you. In addition, we will also look at different tools that can be used to store usernames and passwords
Bring Your Questions - During week 3 we will decide on the topic (possible topics could include excel worksheets, fun/useful apps, or how to do an online library account). We will go over any final questions about the class.
