The Atonement Lutheran Church

Background and Purpose
The Foundation was established in 2006 to receive and manage gifts and bequests for the perpetual support and enhancement of Atonement Lutheran Church of Overland Park, Kansas, and its congregational ministries. The Foundation exists as a separate and distinct legal entity from the Church.
Administration
The Foundation is administered by a Board of Directors elected by the congregation. The Board manages the financial assets of the Foundation by prudently investing the funds for growth and determines the amount of grants that can be made each year. The Board must abide by the Foundation’s Articles and Bylaws, as well as its own adopted written policies governing gift acceptance, investments and grant disbursements.
Members of Atonement may make contributions to the foundation through gifts of cash, checks, stocks, bonds, and other forms of giving. Each gift helps carry forward Atonement’s legacy of generosity and faith, supporting the Foundation’s mission to serve others with compassion, hope, and love. You may use the button below to access options for giving to the Foundation, Atonement’s General Fund, and other ministries.
Atonement staff and congregation members may request funds from the Foundation by using the button below to complete an online Grant Application. The Foundation Board of Directors reviews each application to ensure it supports the development and expansion of ministry programs that complement and enhance the mission of the Church. Foundation assets are not available for regular operating expenses of the church.
